A public hearing for the option agreement purchase of property between the YMCA and the City of Washington has been set for November 6th. The motion to approve the public hearing passed on a 5 to 1 vote, Councilman Russ Zieglowsky explained that he did not support it because the consensus he has heard is that people do not want the YMCA to rebuild at that location and he plans to vote “No” throughout the process.
The public hearing will be held November 6th at the city council chambers in the former public library at 6 p.m.
