Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are “scouting” for food this week in Washington. The scouts have placed Scouting for Food bags at homes in the area and are asking residents to put non-perishable food donations in the bag and then place them on the porch by 8 a.m. this Saturday. Kathy Fields states that they count the number of items and experienced a decrease in the amount collected last year. The bags will be collected Saturday morning beginning at 8 a.m.
She adds that if food has not been collected by 1 p.m. Saturday, contact her at 319-461-3016.
