The IMS cross country team was at the Waterworks Classic last night, and had a runner up finish on the boy’s side by Kirby Shetler.

Shetler finished second in a time of 17:48. Other scorers for IMS were Noah Bruns in 18th with a time of 20:20, Payton Miller in 36th in a time of 22:14, RidgeLee Gingerich in 37th in a time of 22:43 and Kobi Russom finished out the scorers in 39th with a time of 23:01.

IMS finished fourth as a team with 141 points, while Van Buren won the meet with 41.

On the girl’s side of things Renee Buckwalter was the top runner finishing 10th in 17:34. Other scorers were Michaela Gingerich in 26th in a time of 20:08, Katya Doroshenko in 28th in a time of 23:40, Nani Qimatshoeva in 41st in a time of 24:48 and Anna Rossokhina finished up the runners in 44th with a time of 28:09.

IMS was third with 159 points, while Pekin won the meet with a perfect 15.

IMS runs at the district and regional meet next week on Thursday at Pekin.
