The Sigourney volleyball team plays their second to last conference match tonight when they host HLV, Victor.

The Savages are 8-6 this season, and are led by the attack of Jordan Carter who has 203 kills on the year, 35 aces and 28 total blocks. Sydney Davis continues to set it up with 319 assists and Becca Ohalnd leads the team in digs with 241

HLV is 6-8 this season and led in kills by Lauren Cavin with 110, but has some balance around her with Brooke Kuesel who has 81 kills and Dani Kunz who has 62 kills. Kendra Border leads the team in assists with 216 and Chelsea Pierce leads a very all-around defensive team in digs with 97.

Sigourney head coach Chris Carter said when her team plays consistent they are very good, but getting back into the system once her team falls out is something they need to work on.

“The one thing that we are really focusing on is just playing consistent at this point, The matches that we won are matches that we have been in control of, out defenses played well, our offense played well and we just played real consistent,” Carter said. “This weekend at the Washington tournament we kind of struggled with some of the bigger schools that we played against and it wasn’t necessarily that they were better than us, it was more our consistency and our level of play, so that is one thing we are working on this match and finishing up the conference.”

Sigourney and HLV play tonight at Sigourney with first serve around 6 P.M.
