A handful of underage possession tickets were issued in Fairfield over the weekend. The Fairfield Police Department busted a party hosted by a juvenile on Friday. Tickets were issued to five 15 and 16 year olds for possession of alcohol.

Lt Colin Smith says a social host ordinance was recently adopted by the city, identical to the one passed last month by Jefferson County. He says, according to the new ordinance, they need to prove the parents were actively involved or had knowledge of the party. He explains, in this instance, it was clear that the homeowner was unaware of what was happening.
