The Washington Community School District has increased enrollment slightly. Dr. Mike Jorgensen announced that certified enrollment for the school district is 1784.28 students, this is up approximately 17 students from last year’s enrollment. The district also saw an increase in the number of 4-year-old pre-school students, with 5 more this year. The fraction of a student is made up of 4-year-old pre-school students who receive a .5 weighting, students who attend home school assistance receive a .3 weighting and a .22 weighting is given to students who qualify for services due to Limited English Proficiency.
