Winfield- Mt. Union and Sigourney square off tonight in round two of the regional volleyball tournament.

The Wolves have been off for longer than a week since their last game, while Sigourney had to play into round two last week, beating Keota 3-1.

The Wolves are 23-10 and have won nine of their last 10. They are led in kills by Erica Robinson with 243, while Brooke Jennings has been the setup girl with 332 assists and Shleby Therme has 275 digs.

WMU head coach Dave Pieart said the Savages are a team that have a little bit of everything and will be tough to get past.

“They have a big middle in Carter, they have a decent outside, they’ve got a decent libero, they’ve got a scrappy team that fights whether they are ahead or behind, so it’s just one of those teams that we are going to have to be on top of our game in order to get past them,” Pieart said.

Sigourney is 11-9 this season and is led in kills by Jordan Carter who has 333 kills on the year. Sydney Davis has set it up 509 times and Becca Ohland leads in digs with 278.

Sigourney and WMU play tonight at WMU with first serve at 7 P.M.
