The Winfield- Mt. Union volleyball team will have a blast from the past tonight, as they face Pekin, the first team that they played this season.

WMU has turned it on as of late, going 6-2 in the last eight, only losing to top four ranked opponents in the SEISC tournament.

Erica Robinson leads the team in kills, hitting the 160 kill mark on the season, while Brooke Jennings has been the girl with the hands with 216 assists, and Shelby Therme is three away from 200 digs on the season.

Pekin has not updated their stats since game 10 of the season, but did lose to the Wolves in the first meeting 2-0.

Head coach Dave Pieart said if his team can keep their own pacing then they have a good shot at winning.

“For us the key has always been to play at our speed and to keep our focus, sometimes when teams aren’t playing the way we’d prefer them to play we kind of relax, we kind of slow down, we kind of lose our focus and if we can prevent that, we can be pretty solid,” Pieart said.

WMU and Pekin play tonight at WMU for homecoming with first serve around 7:30.
