Sigourney volleyball forced Winfield-Mt. Union to squeak by with a win last night in playoff volleyball.

The Savages came out and won the first two sets 25-12 and 25-23, coming within one set of moving on in the playoffs, but WMU had other plans, winning set three 25-16. Set four could have gone either way, but it was the Wolves who took the win 27-25.

The Savages couldn’t come back from the loss in set four and lost set five 15-6.

In the win WMU was led by Erica Robinson in kills with 15, Brooke Jennings had 22 assists and Shleby Therme had 16 digs.

WMU moves on to the regional semi-final on Friday against North Mahaska while Sigourney ends their season.
