The City of Washington’s Waste Water Treatment Plant and Yard Waste Center will be open Saturday mornings throughout November. The center is currently open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for residents to drop off yard waste and tree trimmings, lumber and building materials of any type are not accepted.

Also, the leaf vac began picking up leaves this week in Washington. To have leaves cleaned by the vacuum, residents need to rake their leaves to the space between the sidewalk and the street. The vacuum started in the Northwest quadrant of town on Monday and will be moving in a counter-clockwise direction.
