The Washington City Council heard a presentation from Brett Johnson with Overland Property Group regarding a proposed 32 unit apartment complex. Johnson explains that it is low to moderate income housing with rent between $400 and $650. The group has similar complexes across the midwest and includes two buildings with 16 units and on site manager as well as maintenance.

The complex will offer a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units, which each has a private first floor entry. The proposed site is near H Avenue and Monroe.

To complete the project, Overland requested the use of TIF dollars with $315,000 over a 15 year period.

The council voiced opinions in favor of the project, but voted to table action until the December 4th meeting so constiuents could state their opinions.
