The Bunker Mill Bridge is in better shape than previously thought. The metal bridge expert who gave the estimate for the restoration inspected the damaged bridge in person late last week. According to Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge Board President Scott Allen, the actual cost may be lower than the initial estimate of $460,000.  The group is now awaiting the final plans for repairs. He says, due to limited funding, work will be done in phases.
