Mid-Prairie School District and the City of Kalona are looking more seriously at a facility partnership. Representatives from both will visit shared facilities around the state Thursday. Mid-Prairie Superintendent Mark Schneider says he and Kalona City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh plan to meet early next week to put together questions that will be asked at each visit.

Stops include the Waverly Wellness Center, Postville Community Center, Nashua-Plainfield Community Center, and the Chickasaw Wellness Center in New Hampton.

Both in the need of a new facility, the district and city have been considering a shared building for the past year as a cost saving measure.
