The relief effort continues in the Leyte Province, the area in the Philippines hit hardest by a typhoon earlier this month. United Methodist Church Southeast Iowa Superintendent Lilian Seagren says United Methodist Committee on Relief arrived in that area last week to provide aid. Those who want to donate and help provide the survivors with food and clean water can talk to a United Methodist pastor. Washington United Methodist Pastor Jim Stiles says there aren’t administrative costs, so 100% of donations go directly to the relief effort.
