A free workshop dealing with new tax measures and tax credits that can be taken advantage of by farmers is being offered today and tomorrow. The Iowa Finance Authority has partnered with TD&T CPAs and Advisors to offer the roundtable events today at the Mt Pleasant Golf & Country Club and tomorrow at the Fairfield Best Western from 8 to 11am. Tax credit programs for leasing land or livestock to beginning farmers or hiring new farmers to do custom farm work will be discussed. Answers to common tax-planning questions and topics including depreciation, crop insurance, CRP and deferred contracts will be covered.
