Nearly 600 residents of Washington voted in Tuesday’s city elections, which resulted in Kathryn Salazar winning the At Large city council seat over incumbent Merle Hagie. In Washington, 594 people voted out of the 4,786 registered voters, or 12.41 percent.

In Riverside, the only other town in Washington County to have a contested race, 48.62 percent of the registered voters cast ballots. A total of 370 people voted out of a possible 761.

The City of West Chester had nearly 37 percent of the town vote, with 37 of 101 registered voters showing up to the polls.
