The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball took care of business against North Mahaska on Friday night, getting the sweep in semi-finals of the playoffs.

WMU won the match 26-24, 25-17, 25-20 to put themselves in the district final.

The Wolves were led by Shelby Therme with 15 kills on the night, while Taylor Rodgers had 18 assists and Therme also led the team in digs with 18.

With the win WMU moves on to face Holy Trinity Catholic in the finals of the region. This will be the second year in a row that WMU and Holy Trinity have met in the Regional final for a chance to go to state. Last year it was Holy Trinity who got the win and moved on. This game will be played on Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant with first serve at 7 P.M.
