A holiday open house and adoptathon is being held today at PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington. Director of the shelter, Amber Talbot, explains that their primary goal is to get the animals homes for the holidays. She states that there will be some reduced adoption fees and same day adoptions today, as well as tomorrow.

Those interested in helping the homeless animals that cannot take a pet home are encouraged to donate time at the shelter or canned food, toys and scratching posts.

Today’s open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.
