PAWS and More Animal Shelter will be open until 6 p.m. today for families to adopt a pet. Direct of the shelter, Amber Talbot says that their goal is to find the animals their forever homes for the holidays. She advises that everyone in the family should be on board with adopting the pet. Many of the animals have reduced adoption rates for the holidays.

Also, the shelter has pet items and gift baskets for last minute gifts and there are donation boxes at Wal-Mart and Dollar General to collect toys and food for the homeless animals. During their annual holiday open house, 10 animals were adopted and over $800 was raised. The shelter will be closed tomorrow for Christmas.
