Columbus Girls Come Up Short in Double Overtime

The Columbus Junction girl’s basketball team fell to Wapello last night.

The Wildcats outscored them 14-3 in the first quarter, but then got outscored 15-6 in the second.

Columbus and Wapello could not get the game decided in regulation so they went to OT, and remained tied after the first overtime, so they went to a second OT where the Wildcats were outscored 4-0 and lost 47-43.

Kelsey Pretz had 21 points on the night, while Martha Anaya had 13. Columbus falls to 1-6 on the season and plays L-M on Friday.
