The Demon girls squeaked a win out last night over Ottumwa, despite being outscored in the final quarter.

Washington was down 16-12 after one quarter of play, and came back to lead at the halftime break 22-21.

The Demons increased their lead in the third quarter, outscoring Ottumwa 20-16, but Washington still left the door open enough that Ottumwa tried to make a comeback, putting up 10 in the fourth quarter to Washington’s six.

The Demons hung on for their third win of the season and breaking their two game losing streak to move to 3-2.

Washington plays Fairfield on Friday to start conference play.
