A fatal accident involving a vehicle driven by a teenager from Wellman occurred yesterday at 1:05 a.m. according to the Iowa State Patrol. Seventeen-year-old Teresa Ranae Miller of Wellman was driving an SL2 Saturn northbound on Highway 1 when an F150 Ford driven by 27-year-old Jeffrey Bulecheck of Iowa City was going eastbound on 520th Street. The vehicles collided in the intersection and both rolled, coming to rest in the ditch.

Fifteen-year-old Brittany Hochstetler of Grabill, Indiana, who was in the Saturn, was transported by Air Care but died. Miller was transported by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospital, as was the other passenger of the Saturn, 16-year-old Brooke Sierra Miller of Fay, Oklahoma.

Bulecheck was also transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital.

The accident is still under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol Technical Accident Investigators.
