The non-profit established to save Bunker Mill Bridge is using the money they’ve raised so far to begin the restoration. Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge has collected around $80,000. Executive Director of the friends group, Julie Bowers, says some preliminary work has already been completed, but the first step of the restoration will begin Monday. She says they need to raise an additional $30,000 to $50,000 to do things nonessential to the bridge’s soundness, like landscaping and adding a handrail.
