The IMS girl’s basketball team ran away with a win over WACO last night 47-32.

IMS led just 22-19 at half, but in the third quarter put 11 points up to WACO’s nine and started to pull away. IMS outscored the Warriors 14-4 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Schmieder led IMS with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Olivia Yutzy had 13 points and shot 50 percent from the field.

Head coach Aaron Gingerich said his girls did a nice job of moving the ball and getting the ball inside when the outside shots weren’t falling.

IMS is 2-2 and plays Columbus on Friday, while WACO falls to 0-4 on the season and plays Highland on Friday.
