The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are back in Basketball action tonight after just having one night off.

Mid-Prairie hosts West Liberty for their third conference game of the season.

For the girl’s team, they are still winless on the season at 0-3, Ali Riggan is the leading scorer with 7.5 points per game with Taylor Kurtz right behind her with seven points per game. The Golden Hawks are shooting better from beyond the arc then in front of it, shooting 34.8 percent from three range, and just 29 percent from the floor.

The Golden Hawks are averaging 42 points per game in their first three.

West Liberty is 0-4 this season, and is only scoring 24.8 points per game. They are shooting 20.5 percent from the floor and just 15 percent from three-point range.

The Belles are led by Hailey Daufeldt with 5.8 points per game, and Molly Kelly with 4.8 points per game.

The Mid-Prairie boy’s team is sitting at 1-1 after Tuesday’s win over West Branch. The Golden Hawks had a dominating defensive performance against West Branch in their win and matched it with great offense as well. Mid-Prairie saw a big game from Nick Stimson and Dayton Hall, they both only had six in the season opener.

The Comets are also 1-1 on the season, with Kyle Miller leading the way with 21 points per game, the next closest is Brett Becker with 11 points per game.

West Liberty as a team has only shot 10 three’s this season and made four of them, and they are shooting 35 percent from the floor while scoring 47 points per game.
