The Mid-Prairie basketball teams play Solon tonight for a double header.

The Golden Hawks are both coming off wins against West Liberty on Thursday and look to continue the trend.

For the girls, they will look to Taylor Kurtz to continue using her size and scoring ability to lead the team. She is averaging 12.8 points per game, while the Golden Hawks are averaging 44.8 points per game as a team.

Solon has just one win on the season against the Demons and are struggling offensively with just 36.4 points per game. The Spartans look to Rylee Smith and Josie Durr to score for them, both with over seven points per game.

In the boy’s game, Nick Stimson and Dayton Hall have been on fire for the Golden Hawks as of late raining in three’s and starting to become scoring machines for the Golden Hawks.

Tonight they take on No. 3 Solon who is 3-0 on the season. The Spartans look to Austin Miller and Jaden Durr, both scoring over 10 points per game and shooting over 45 percent from the field.
