The Highland girls stayed hot in their boy/girl sweep over WACO last night.

The girls put up 21 points in the first quarter, and 17 in the second to lead 38-17 at the half.

The closest WACO came to outscoring the Huskies in a quarter was in the third when Highland outscored them 12-10. The Huskies went on to win 69-41.

Highland was led by four players in the double digit figures, including 15 from Samantha Dutton, 12 from Kelsey Hora, and 10 from Bridget Murphy and Chelsey Lampe.

WACO was led by Aaliyah Brown with 11 and Jordan Rodgers with 10.

In the boy’s game Highland put WACO in a large hole at the halftime break down 33-17 to the Huskies. WACO put up quite a few points in the second half, but couldn’t get near the Huskies as they ran away with the game 69-45.

Highland was led by Josh Brase with 18 and Chris Ford with 16, while WACO was led by Dylan Carlson with 13.

Highland faces WMU on Monday in a game of high profile teams, while WACO plays Keota on Saturday and Lone Tree on Tuesday.
