The WACO basketball teams split their games with Lone Tree last night.

The WACO girls came out and had the best night they have all season, winning 57-50.

The Warriors led at the end of every quarter, despite some lead changes in the second period.

WACO was led by Aaliyah Brown with 12 points on the night, while Jaelyn Unternahrer had 10 and two other players added nine. Lone Tree got 20 from Madelyn Flemr and 14 from Elena Siverding.

The boy’s game was a low scoring affair, with tough defenses on display.

Lone Tree came out with the win 44-29 and held WACO to single digit points in each quarter. The Lions were led by Jovonte Squires with 15 points and 10 from Trent Gosnell, while on the WACO side they were led by Dylan Carlson with 12 and Tucker Janecek with 11.

Lone Tree moves on to play WMU on Friday, while WACO plays Mediapolis.
