The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have taken a break for the holidays, so here are the standings for the first half of the season for the boy’s basketball team in the River Valley Conference.

Iowa City Regina leads the way at 4-0 on the season, while Mid-Prairie and Wilton are in second with records of 3-1.

West Liberty sits in third alone at 2-2, while West Branch and Tipton are 1-3 in fourth and in fifth is Durant at 0-4.

Mid-Prairie head coach Chris Kern said his team needs to use this break to tighten some things up for the second half.

“We’re 3-2 going into Christmas, so hopefully we can work on some things over break, we have two scrimmages over break that I think will be really good for us,” Kern said. “It’s time to come back and tune some things up a bit over that break.”

Mid-Prairie resumes play on January 3rd.
