A long-term recovery is expected for a portion of the Philippines devastated by a typhoon last month. United Methodist Church Southeast Iowa Superintendent Lillian Seagren is keeping in touch with United Methodist pastors in that area. She says one of the major problems is the lack of heavy machinery to move debris. The United Methodist Committee on Relief is helping with the relief effort, providing food, water and temporary shelters. Contact a United Methodist pastor if you’d like to make a donation to the Committee.
