Last weekend PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington held an adoptathon and open house. Ten animals were adopted last weekend and over $800 was raised for the shelter, with more donations being mailed in. Director Amber Talbot adds that they will be open through 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and their goal is to get the animals their forever homes for the holidays. Also, the shelter has pet items and gift baskets for last minute gifts and there are donation boxes at Wal-Mart and Dollar General to collect toys and food for the homeless animals.
