Due to the holiday, the Washington City Council will meet Thursday evening. The council will consider setting a public hearing for code of ordinances and a resolution setting strategic priorities for the city. Also, the City Attorney and City Clerk will be appointed, as well as mayoral appointments of fire department officers will be confirmed. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the council chambers.
Also, Washington’s Neighborhood Pride Enhancement Committee is having a public meeting this evening at 6:30 p.m in the Washington Public Library. The meeting will discuss the comprehensive plan, housing task force as well as the city-wide residential curbside clean up and the downtown streetscape.
