The Washington Public Library received a grant award from the State Library of Iowa. The $1,287 is from a Library Technology Grant Award to add a self-checkout station and computer reservation software at the local library. Washington Public Library Director Debbie Stanton hopes to have the new systems in place by February 2014. In total, 194 grant applications were received and only 63 were awarded.
