The City of Wayland has adopted their 10 year comprehensive plan. The plan is a vision for the city based on opinion surveys. Bev Conrad, with the City, says the biggest aspect of the plan is housing. Specifically making sure the population has the right kind of housing. Conrad says, taking into consideration the age demographics in the city, residences that accommodate the elderly will be a focus. This is the city’s second comprehensive plan. The first ten year plan was adopted in 2001.
