The WMU girl’s basketball team took care of business against West Liberty on Saturday night, winning 61-28.

The Wolves took the lead and ran away with it after the first half, in which they led 34-12 after holding the Belles to just five points in the second quarter.

West Liberty got some more points on the board in the third quarter, but WMU continued their domination leading 45-24 after three. The Wolves got the score to the final 61-28 and that was the game.

WMU was led by Emily Mathews with 19 points, and behind her was Shelby Therme with 16 points. WMU won despite shooting just over 50 percent from the free throw line.

The Wolves are now 2-0 on the season and play L-M on Tuesday.
