If work on the city park stage in Brighton begins in the spring, it could be done in time for Whoopee Days in June. According to Brighton Lions Club Secretary, Sheryl Lewis, they’re making the current stage larger, and adding an awning and changing rooms. A $36,000 Washington County Riverboat grant announced last week, $5,000 from the Brighton Lions, $5,000 from Brighton Chamber and $500 from Brighton Horizons will be used to finance the project.
