Mary Lou Erlacher with the Workplace Learning Connection gave a presentation regarding the group to the Washington County Board of Supervisors. The Workplace Learning Connection provides career development for Washington County students with job shadows, internships and presentations. Erlacher said that last year in Washington County schools, including Highland, Mid-Prairie and Washington, 1,135 students participated – 995 in events, 31 in internships and 109 with job shadows.

The group is requesting an increase of funds for next fiscal year for a total of $1,100 from the county, which equals 5-cents per capita.
