The Highland girl’s basketball team got a win last night over West Burlington.

The Huskies dominated the first half, outscoring West Burlington 19-4 in the first quarter and 14- 9 in the second to lead 33-13 at the halftime break.

Highland called off the dogs a bit in the second half as West Burlington scored fifteen, but the lead stood as Highland matched West Burlington shot for shot. In the fourth quarter Highland was outscored by four, but it didn’t matter as the Huskies pulled out the 61-44 win.

The Huskies were led by a huge night from Cheyanne Adamson who scored 29 points in the game. Behind her were Bridget Murphy with 11 and Chelsey Lampe with 10.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 4-3 in conference play and 6-3 overall
