The remainder of the Bunker Mill Bridge restoration may be put off until this summer if a non-profit is unable to reach their fundraising goal. Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge is attempting to raise $20,000 over the next two weeks. Executive Director of the group, Julie Bowers, explains if they reach their goal, they’ll be able to combine that with the $26,000 they already have to complete the restoration. That includes putting up stringers, and putting in the floor beams and wooden planks. She adds they’ll need to halt the project until this summer if they’re unable to meet their goal.
