Those planning to ice fish this winter have a few options in Washington County. Crawford Pond is near Ainsworth, east of Highway 218 at G36 and Vine Avenue. According to Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Biologist, Chad Dolan, that pond is excellent for blue gill and redear sunfish. He adds that the pond at the Clemons Creek Wildlife Area is also good for fishing.
