The IMS girl’s basketball team was in action last night against Wapello, and despite the cold air the three-point arc was on fire.

Four players nailed three-pointers in the first quarter to help put IMS in front 18-3 in the first quarter, but Wapello fought back to a 26-21 deficit at halftime.

In the second half Wapello continued their aggressive play to cut the lead to 39-36, but a three point shot from Hannah Miller and a steal and layup by Olivia Yutzy gave IMS the lead and the 46-38 win.

Kristin Davis led the way with 14 points in the game, nailing four three-pointers in the process. Riley Schmieder had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Yutzy finished up with 12 points in the game.

IMS is now 5-3 and will host Mediapolis on Friday.
