Temperatures in the area dropped well below zero this week and single digit temperatures are expected throughout the weekend. With these cold temperatures, Director of PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington Amber Talbot reminds people to take care of outdoor pets. Talbot recommends straw for bedding, because a wet blanket can easily freeze and become hard. She states that despite their fur, animals can get frost bite and cold. Also, she recommends heated water bowls.
