A local police chief will head to Des Moines next month for the 26th Annual Sex Crimes Conference. After a positive experience last year, Wayland Police Chief Ron Roth is planning to attend this year’s conference, which begins February 3rd.

During the three day gathering, there will be presentations covering topics like juvenile rape investigations, and the role today’s technology plays in bullying and sexual exploitation.

The conference is sponsored by the Iowa Sex Crimes Investigator’s Association and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
