The Lone Tree girls basketball team got the better of Columbus Junction last night in the second half.

The Lions won 59-42, but the Wildcats were only down two at half, 27-25. Columbus only scored four points in the third quarter to Lone Tree’s 15 which made the significant deficit that the Wildcats could not make up in the fourth quarter.

Lone Tree had three players in double figures and was led by Madelyn Flemr with 16 points; Kennedi Warson added 12 and Elena Sieverding had 11 in the game. Columbus Junction was led by Martha Anaya with 17 points

Columbus falls to 3-9 overall and 2-9 in conference play, while Lone Tree improves to 5-7 and 3-7 in the SEISC.
