Each of Mid-Prairie’s Elementary Schools will be represented in this year’s Young Musician’s Honor Band. Emily Swartzentruber of Washington Township Elementary, Kyra Helmuth of Kalona Elementary, and Dominic McCain from Wellman Elementary will perform February 22nd in Cedar Rapids. Swartzentruber plays clarinet, Helmuth plays trombone, and McCain plays tuba. They’re all currently in 5th grade.
