WACO held their Warrior Invitational on Saturday, and Mid-Prairie was the only other area school that was in attendance.

WACO had just one champion at 170 pounds with Cey Saeugling. Saeugling recorded falls in all three of his matches, including the final one in 2:15 over Justin Hunter of Iowa City Regina to win the tournament.

Mid-Prairie also had one champion at 182 pounds with Phirom Peterschmidt. Peterschmidt also won by falls in all of his matches, including the championship in which he won in 1:52 over Brennen Grimm of English Valley. The Golden Hawks added three runners-up to their score with Duncan McCain at 106, Miguel Sanchez at 160 and Levi Duwa at 195.

Mid-Prairie was second at the tournament with 152 points, just four shy of first place Regina. WACO was 11th with 38 points.
