A Trees Forever representative and the District Forester will be in Brighton today to discuss the Emerald Ash Borer and share results from a street tree survey. Trees Forever Horticulturist Patty Peterson says they’ve been doing these tree surveys in small communities that don’t have the resources to perform their own. They identify the number of trees in a city, their type and location.

Peterson says the report that includes the survey results, will also offer suggestions for replacing the county’s ash trees when the emerald ash borer arrives.

She adds anyone interested in learning more about the beetle is invited to attend. The meeting at the Brighton Community Center begins at 1pm.
