Keota High School and WACO High School were visited by the Secretary of State this week. Matt Schultz has been traveling to school’s across the state, to talk with students about the importance of participating in our country’s elections. Schultz says they held a mock election where only half of the students voted to show the kind of impact youth can make on the outcome of elections if more of them made it to the polls.  In the 2012 presidential elections, only 19% of the 18 to 29 year olds in the nation voted.
