With temperatures below freezing most of this weekend and the mercury expected to fall below zero on Monday, please keep outdoor animals in mind. Amber Talbot, Director of PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington, reminds people to take care of their outdoor pets with these cold temperatures in the area. She explains that animals can get frostbite even with their fur. Also, she recommends straw for bedding, because a wet blanket can easily freeze and become hard. She advises that straw is the best bedding, Also, she recommends heated water bowls.
