It was a tough first half of the season for the WACO boys basketball team. The Warriors faced and lost to five teams that had just one or fewer losses in the first half.
The Warriors will have no time to breathe after the break as they kick off the second half of the season with a fired up Columbus Junction team on Friday. The Warriors face another struggling team in Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday Jan. 7, and then face a one loss Pekin team the following Friday.
WACO’s only out of conference opponent in the second half is Holy Trinity Catholic on Jan. 11, right after Pekin.
In the first half of the season the Warriors struggled with scoring points, allowing 302 to their 221. WACO’s point difference per game is -16.2.
The Warriors open up the second half of the season on Friday, when they hit the road for a game against Columbus Junction.
